Graduating from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and the University of the Philippines - Manila with a Master’s degree in Public Health, Prof. Ron Christian G. Sison, RMT, MPH is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Technology in the University of Santo Tomas. 


Dedicated to the ideals of harm reduction, Prof. Ron serves as the President and Lead Convenor for the Harm Reduction Alliance of the Philippines (HARAP), whose advocacy is to promote harm reduction as part of the country’s public health policy, for the benefit of every individual’s right to well-being. HARAP’s member organizations include the Philippine Advocates for Road Safety (PARS), a network of road users, individuals and groups committed to advocating for road safety; The Red Whistle, an HIV and AIDS support group; 2030 Youth Force, a regional youth-led group promoting sustainable development; LoveYourself, an HIV testing, counseling, treatment group; and The Vapers Philippines, a consumer advocacy group that aims to educate about the relative safety of e-cigarettes and their potential as smoking cessation tools.
