Jagannath “Jaggi” Sarangapani is a stalwart tobacco harm reduction advocate from India. Among all other various therapies and alternatives, vaping helped Jaggi kick a 20-year 40-cigarettes-a-day smoking habit. He has remained smoke-free for 7 years and is an active member of the Association of Vapers India (AVI) and sits on the board of the International Network of Nicotine Consumer Organizations. It is his firm belief that smokers are entitled to safer options to ease the transition from traditional cigarette smoking. As for those who, like himself, found a solution to their smoking problem in vaping, they should retain the right to continue their smoke-free lifestyle.
Sarangapani holds a master’s degree in engineering from Case Western Reserve University and is also an alumnus of Columbia Business School. With several decades of industrial experience under his belt, Jaggi now holds the position of Managing Director at U-Foam Private Ltd., a pioneer company in cellular plastics and insulated panels in India.
