With over two decades of exceptional service in the public health sector, Dr. Anna Ulep is a proud graduate of University of the East College of Dentistry, and a Master’s Degree holder of Public Health from the Institute of Community & Family Health, Inc. At present, she is serving as the Chief of the University Dental Services Department in Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
As an esteemed name in the industry, her genuine passion and advocacy have produced worthwhile contributions to civic organizations, and local and international NGOs through productive partnerships and projects. She stands for protecting the most vulnerable members of our society, guaranteeing that their basic health requirements are being met. During the start of the pandemic, she was a frontliner to the frontliners—making sure that enough PPEs are sourced out for her colleagues in the University. Being a strong advocate for the vaccine, she has held various webinars and lectures imparting the importance of vaccination to combat the COVID 19 virus.
Apart from her usual advocacies, she has led a group of researchers in producing a study that is paramount to our campaign of Harm Reduction. She is the Assistant Team Leader of the Research Collaboration of Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Fact Asia Limited, Inc. entitled “Tobacco Use and adverse Effects relative to Other Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, and Injuries Causing Deaths: A Comparative Data Analysis in the Philippines”.
