Earning a Bachelor’s degree from the Assumption University in his home country of Thailand and a Master’s degree from the Avila University in the United States of America, Asa “Ace” Saligupta is a lecturer at the Chulalongkorn University and Rajabhat University in Thailand, while being an avid advocate of tobacco harm reduction.
Asa founded, and is currently serving as Director, of ENDS Cigarette Smoking Thailand (ECST), a purchaser coalition working to promote e-cigarettes in Thailand, and a member organization of CAPHRA (Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates). ECST promotes the legalization of e-cigarettes, claiming these products are a safer option for smokers, especially those who wish to quit smoking.
He is also a member of the International Network of Nicotine Consumer Organizations (INNCO) Governing Board, and as a harm reduction advocate, Asa has actively supported Thai and international advocacy groups in raising awareness and lobbying policies on tobacco alternatives through public campaigns, knowledge sharing, and representation in global events.
